Lay is the oldest brother, the cooler, he goes on college and has an awesome girlfriend and everything seems perfect for him. He also takes special care of the youngest and all his younger brothers obey him and admire him.
Chen is the second oldest, the good boy, dad’s favourite because he seems to be the one who will take care of the company when Kris dies
Luhan is the third one, mom’s last chance to get the girl she always wanted. He ends up being a boy but mom doesn’t care and treats him as her daughter. He’s manly enough to keep being a boy but ends up being gay, he looks for comfort in Lay’s arms since he understands him pretty well in everything. Dad accepts his orientation but tries to not touch that subject too much
Tao is the unexpected one and the youngest, the one that came for surprise when the doctors told mom that she couldn’t have babies anymore, he is close to Lay and Luhan but feels completely intimidated by Chen. He uses to fight with dad a lot because he cries a lot and dad thinks that crying is for the weak. Kris also made him learn martial arts so he can protect himself from bullies at school.
